When I "discovered" Robert Johnson in '67 or '68, The Devil took me; it's been all downhill since.
And while most modern guitar shredding descends from Hendrix, Hendrix descended from his muse and Guitar Hero, Buddy Guy, who was doing this stuff back when Jimi was in diapers.
Saw him again last year, and he's STILL tearing it up with that infectious smile and blazing guitar!
