YouTube Fridays

Theme songs from shows I can remember watching as I was growing up and really liked. Both of these shows are from the same time frame, basically the early '90s. Also, I have been informed that GG did not watch either of them.

GG didn't watch Doogie Howser OR the Wonder Years? What?

That's okay - I didn't use up bandwidth (precious, precious limited bandwidth) to watch the viddies, but I could tell from looking at their stills what they were.

Loved those shows.

Although I was an adult at the time, I watched and thoroughly enjoyed both shows.

Especially "The Wonder Years" which was about my era...

Ah, Boxer reflects on the youth and parental influences. I thought Wonder Years was a very good representation of the 60's e.g. life in USA war vs peace, stereotypical woman's role in the family, stereotypical man's role in the work world and how it impacted family life. It also represented succently & humorously the angst of pre teen and teen years.

I actually don't remember a lot of what I watched as a younger GG. I know when I was in high school (89-91), I watched a lot of Nova and Great Chefs and Star Trek: TNG, and I remember my mom liked to watch Dateline, Unsolved Mysteries, ER, and Rescue 911. I totally miss the Sunday Night Movie.
